NEW! March Month-End Close: Central offices have officially closed for the month of March. This includes the transmission and reconciliation of all March transactions, and state approval to close the month.
NEW! April Month-End Close Deadlines: Validated campus journal entries and data collect batches (journal imports) should be received by Accounting Services by close of business
(5 p.m.) on Friday, April 29. Please remember that accounting will not receive the journal entries until the journal has been budget checked valid and has passed through all required approvals (including OSR, if necessary).

NEW! 2022 Fiscal Year-End Memo: The 2022 Fiscal Year-End memo was distributed to University Business Managers and Campus Unit Leads on Thursday, April 14, 2022. The memo is available in online and letterhead versions.
NEW! Updated Long Descriptions on Accounts: Accounting Services is updating the long descriptions on GL Account to provide better account usage guidance. This updated information is available in Infoporte, under Tools/Chartfield Lookup. You will now be able to see the Short Description, and the Long Description.
NEW! UPDATED Duo Prompt: Starting May 9 at 5 p.m., you’ll see an updated Duo prompt after logging into some University applications (like Qualtrics) with your Onyen and password. The prompt will have an updated look and be a duosecurity.com URL instead of a unc.edu URL. You’ll also notice that the “Remember me for 12 hours” checkbox is missing. Don’t worry. After verifying with Duo, you can click a new “Yes, trust browser” button to be remembered for 12 hours.
