NEW! May Month-End Close. Central offices have officially closed for the month of May. This includes the transmission and reconciliation of May transactions, and state approval to close the month.
REMINDER! Fiscal Year-End Closing Date and Procedures. Remember that there is not one month-end close date for June, but rather there are a series of month-and year-end close dates. These deadlines must be met to ensure use of your 2017-2018 budgets rather than your 2018-2019 budgets.
Journal entries not approved by departments and the Office of Sponsored Research (when applicable) by the June 22 deadline will be deleted. See the June 8 memo and the 2018 Fiscal Year End web page for details.
NEW! ConnectCarolina User Conference Coming This Fall. This day-long event with presentations and workshops will take place Thursday, October 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, see the June 12 memo.
REMINDER! Upcoming Census Outage. As part of the Summer II Census activities, there will be an outage of the Student Administration component of ConnectCarolina Thursday, June 28, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Faculty, students and staff will NOT be able to access ConnectCarolina at this time. Finance functions are NOT affected by this outage, but the ePAR hire form for HR/Payroll is affected, as are some services related to Onyen, PID and Guest ID. REMINDER! Cleaning Up Unpaid P.O.s. To ensure that all purchase orders are processed by Fiscal Year End, make sure they have both an invoice and receipt for payment and are in the system by June 22. See June 13 memo for details.
