University Business Managers,

The new and improved Lump Sum Payment ePAR is going live Friday, September 22, 2023. The new form is a significant upgrade from the current one with many new features, such as:

  • New and easier way to pick the correct effective date.
  • Ability to stop payments that have not started processing in payroll.
  • Creating payments for new hires up to 30 days before their start date.
  • Creating and ending recurring payments (like for mobile device stipends) – with no help ticket required.
  • Option to set up a lump sum payment to end automatically, after a specified duration or amount is reached.
  • Ability to modify funding for recurring lump sum payments and single payments that have not started processing in payroll.

Important: The navigation to the new Lump Sum ePAR form will be significantly different as the newer version forms (version 3) are accessed differently than the original ePAR forms (version 2). Please ensure you take the Lump Sum Payment training, so you learn how to access the new form. Learning the new navigation is particularly important for approvers as forms initiated prior to Sept. 22 will be available as a version 2 form and forms initiated on and after Sept. 22 will be available as a version 3 form.

HR User Group Meeting

We are holding an HR User Group Webinar this Thursday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m., which will include a presentation and training demonstration of the new Lump Sum payment ePAR. If you are unable to make it, we will be posting the webinar recording and slides at the same link the following day.

Updated Training Materials

Four new lump sum payment online training courses and a quick reference card are now available for you. Because the new Lump Sum Payment ePAR is such a powerful tool, all users should review the training before engaging the form:
