Re: Decommissioning of Fin-Retro Remedy

The Payroll Accounting Adjustment Tool (PAAT) was released in October 2015 which replaced the Short Term Retro tool. To this date, there is still limited use of processing legacy journal entries through the Fin-Retro Remedy queue. We will be decommissioning this tool effective September 30, 2016, and would like to share the following information:

  1. No new remedy tickets will be accepted for legacy retro journal entries after 5 p.m. on 9/30/16.
  2. Tickets that have all required details that were submitted by 5 p.m. on 9/30/16 will be completed by 10/14/16 as long as OSR approves the entry.  Tickets with incomplete information will be rejected/closed without further action.
  3. After 9/30/16, requests for legacy retro journal entries for sponsored projects that are critical for the closeout of the project should be submitted to ecrt_help@unc.edu.  No new requests for legacy retro journal entries other than for sponsored projects will be entertained after 9/30/16.
