Several new training opportunities are now available to TIM Administrators, including some for Managers.
TIM Administrator Advanced Workshop
First, we are pleased to announce a new TIM Administrator Advanced Workshop to be held monthly. Topics covered will include:
- Advanced TIM Administrator action
- TIM reports, comp time and overtime, historical edits, adverse weather, TIM audit information, ensuring timely payment
- Recent TIM announcements and other need-to-know information
- Q&A session
Please note that this course has prerequisites for attendance. Attendees must have completed the New TIM Administrator Training Class *and* have served as a TIM Administrator for at least two months. Staff who have been an active TIM Administrator for more than three years are also welcome to attend.
The first workshop will take place on Thursday, Aug. 29. The link to the training registration website is: https://apps.research.unc.edu/events/index.cfm. Once there, select Time Information Management (TIM) in the Sponsor dropdown field to view all courses.
New TIM Administrator/Manager Snippets
Snippets are a shortened version of computer-based trainings. They are less than five minutes in length and highlight often-requested information. Three new TIM Administrator/Manager snippets have been added to the TIM training page. These short snippets review areas such as basic navigation, reports and hyperfind. There will be more snippets added throughout 2013. Please visit https://finance.unc.edu/services/training/ to review these snippets.
