Top Issues

NEW! Airgas holiday schedule: Airgas/National Welders will be closed Monday, July 4. All other routes and schedules are as normal. Dry Ice deliveries scheduled for July 4 will be delivered on Tuesday, July 5.

NEW! Finance data in InfoPorte: Due to year-end processing activities, the finance data in InfoPorte will not be updated overnight on June 30, 2016.  The data will be current as of June 29 and will next be updated Friday night, July 1.

NEW! Missing journal transactions:  We have identified a problem with how ConnectCarolina is recording transactions in various ledger groups, we are re-budget checking nightly and no additional action is required by the departments.  We are providing this spreadsheet of missing journal transactions which will be updated daily as journals are re-budget checked nightly. There are three tabs: UNCCH, Foundations, and UNCGA. This also includes the date the journals were corrected and the date the corrections appear in InfoPorte.

NEW! Past deadline for campus journal entry: As noted in the Reminder of FYE Deadlines, June 24 was the last day to submit departmentally-approved valid journal entries (departmental, foundations, central offices as appropriate) for non-State funds.

Yet, each day Accounting Services receives campus journal entries. Although ConnectCarolina will not prevent you from entering journal entries, any journal entries submitted after June 24 for June 2016, will not be approved for posting and will be manually deleted by Accounting Services.

NEW! Barnes & Noble College Store department charge procedures: As communicated earlier this week, Barnes & Noble College Store will not be taking department charges online (via the website) and instead will take any and all requests in-store or via the Contact Us section of the website. More information about the acceptance of departmental charges via Customer Billing Management (CBM) is in the memo linked above.

Important Reminders and Resources

Current Issues List:  Check out the frequently updated list of Current Issues Being Worked.  This list, in the Issues/Fixes section of, contains current system issues raised via help tickets and/or testing.  For most of these, investigations into the causes and fixes are still taking place, but it can be used as a resource for users to know that the project team is aware of and working on specific system issues.


Users should utilize the Business Systems Help Desk when they are unsure who to contact for issue resolution.  This is the fastest way to obtain assistance and allows the project team to be able to track issues to determine the scale of the impact to all users. Users can reach the Business Systems Help Desk at 919-962-HELP or via a remedy ticket submitted online at (select ConnectCarolina > ConnectCarolina Finance > the appropriate area of concern).
