It has come to our attention that Bank of America will be closing their Chapel Hill Main Banking Center located at 137 E. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, effective 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. Banking services will continue to be available at their Carrboro Banking Center located at 104 E. Main Street, Carrboro. There will be no interruption of service and you’ll have access to all of your accounts at all times. For information about other convenient locations, please stop by the Chapel Hill Main Banking Center or visit online at https://locators.bankofamerica.com/ for help finding nearby banking centers and ATMs.

If you are utilizing a safe deposit box at this branch, then you are advised to visit the branch by noon on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, to personally remove the contents of your safe deposit box. You are required to take all of your box keys with you, as well as identification, so that the branch can ensure that the box you have now is closed properly. If you do not have contents in your safe deposit box or you have lost your keys, you still need to visit the branch to officially close your box.

Safe deposit boxes may be rented at the University Mall and Timberlyne banking centers in Chapel Hill. To secure a box at a location that is convenient for you, please give this matter your prompt attention.
