Effective January 30, 2009, DHL will no longer provide domestic ground and overnight delivery service. International express delivery service through DHL will continue to be offered.
In light of this development, Material & Disbursement Services has executed a contract with Federal Express, better known as FedEx, to handle all domestic delivery services previously provided by DHL. If you do not have a FedEx account, account setup instructions are located at https://finance.unc.edu/departments/purchasing/. Regardless of changes, we are committed to making the transition as seamless as possible thereby eliminating any potential service interruptions.
The agreement with FedEx is as competitive as DHL relative to domestic pricing and service levels. For international delivery services, we recommend the continued use of DHL.
