Professional background: Most recently I started my tenure at UNC-Chapel Hill in Student Affairs, where I served as senior finance director. Prior to that, I was the director of budget at the UNC System Office. And further, I have over 14 years of experience, working in finance roles at higher education institutions, including UNC Wilmington, the University of Virginia, and West Virginia University.

Education: I have my bachelor of science in business accounting and my master of professional accountancy from West Virginia University.

What does your job entail: I lead the Office of Budget, Planning and Analysis to support campus with informed decision-making through robust planning, analysis and information delivery. I play a key role in assisting campus leadership to implement budget and planning strategies in support of the University’s strategic initiatives. I hope to become a trusted partner to executive leadership, vice chancellors, deans, department heads and budget and financial managers across the institution. I also oversee the University’s comprehensive all-funds budget process.

What is exciting you about your job right now: The most exciting thing about my job right now is coming into an institution and office that are at the forefront of financial change and improvement. There are so many exciting opportunities for change, developing efficiencies and advancing the budget planning and analysis platform at UNC-Chapel Hill. I am grateful to be part of the team on the cusp of this work and supported by leadership who are engaged and driving this transformation.

What is something we may not know about you: My most important job in the world is being a mother to my two beautiful boys, Dean (five) and Tate (one).
