Please share this announcement with staff who manage background checks for your school/division.
As you may be aware, CastleBranch recently re-branded its products including the online background check system. The system name has changed from CertifiedBackground to CastleBranch.
In addition, effective June 18, CastleBranch will implement a minor update to the online background check system that will improve the online invitation (evite) process for candidates/appointees who have multiple background checks through UNC-Chapel Hill.
Specifically, the UNC-Chapel Hill custom evite fields (i.e. campus department name, department number, position number, title, chartfield account, etc.) will move from the first to the second page of the issue evite process. No other changes will be made to the type or number of fields or any other aspect of the candidate and department portals.
The Background Check Desk Reference for HR Representatives has been updated as a result of the new branding and forthcoming system update. Refer to the desk reference and following key resources with questions:
