As you might expect, a number of central offices in Finance are receiving phone calls and emails inquiring about the Flexible Furlough Program announced by Governor Perdue earlier today. At this point, the central offices have only seen what you have seen. There are a number of questions that we don’t have answers for yet. The announcements state that additional information will be forthcoming from the Office of State Personnel (OSP). Presumably General Administration will provide any unique guidance for the UNC System, as applicable. As we learn more about the OSP rules as well as how we will implement this on our campus, additional communications will be forthcoming.
