A completely redesigned Finance Division Web site launches today with a customer-focused, user-friendly style. The new site can be accessed at https://finance.unc.edu/. This URL is the new Finance Division homepage; any previously bookmarked Finance Web pages should be reset.

The goal of the redesign is to modernize the Finance Division Web site. This includes providing a professional, organized and streamlined appearance. Easy navigation, cross-referenced information, and consistency across all division Web pages will enable campus customers to have efficient access to financial data, reports, policies, computer-based trainings, etc.

In response to campus user feedback, the content of our Web site has been reorganized to be user-centric. Also, we have visually aligned our departmental sites, and retained popular features wherever possible to reduce customer confusion.

Campus users stressed the importance of locating the appropriate staff member for their needs, so our new staff listings include roles and responsibilities for every Finance Division employee.

The Finance Division site also offers shortcuts for emailing or printing pages, another often requested function previously unavailable.

Along the other highlights you’ll find on our new site:

Search function: The Google search appliance is used to search not only the Finance Division Web site, but the existing Finance policies and procedures in the Business Manual.

Services: A Services tab on pages throughout the site will allow new or returning users to quickly navigate to the service they need, regardless of which department performs the service.

Calendar: Accounting Services deadlines, Payroll Services important dates, Finance training and more will appear in the new calendar feature.

News: Our News section will feature the latest news and contain archived news items distributed via the business managers listserv and mass email.

The site will continue to develop; and we appreciate your patience during this transition. If you have questions or comments about the site, we invite you to use our new Customer Service form and let us know your thoughts.

We look forward to hearing from you.
