Financial Accounting Services oversees the main transaction activity of the University’s central administrative finances. These transactions are performed through PeopleSoft, the application in the ConnectCarolina online system. Financial Journals are reports that contain the activities of individual accounts or sources. In addition to reviewing, approving and monitoring the financial transactions that are posted to these journals, Financial Accounting Services can help with:
- Requesting or Modifying DCB journal sources. New or changed business rules and procedures of Data Collect Batch (DCB) journals, (3-character field that defines origin of a journal) in PeopleSoft
- Custom Campus Journal Modules with built-in business rules in PeopleSoft
- ConnectCarolina Journal Information. Campus journals, GL journal entries, subsystem journals, DCB journals and import journals.
