2022 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is prepared each fall by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and provides accountability and transparency to the people of North Carolina and beyond by reporting accurate and obtainable information within the context of the overall mission and goals of the University. The report contains the audited proprietary financial statements of the University, as well as those for the University’s fiduciary funds and component units. The report includes these highlights: information from and about UNC-Chapel Hill’s leadership, UNC-Chapel Hill’s major progress and initiatives, an independent auditor’s report as well as financial management’s discussion and analysis.
Additional features include: various financial disclosures reviewing investments, debts, revenues and expenses, supplementary information on the University’s retirement plans, and finally, a statistical section detailing financial trends, revenue and debt capacity/ratios, demographic information and operating information.
