Carolina Computing Initiative
The Carolina Computing Initiative (CCI) was developed in 1998 to ensure that students, faculty and staff are able to access high-quality and affordable technology and are able to use it effectively. CCI computers are purchased at a substantial savings under a contract with a computer manufacturer. Purchasing Services and Information Technology Services recommend that departments purchase computers using the CCI contract whenever possible. The CCI contract and its selection of computers offer several benefits to UNC-Chapel Hill customers that are unmatched by other computer purchasing initiatives available to University departments.
The Carolina Computing Initiative website offers additional information about how this purchasing contract benefits individuals and the University.
