To: Surplus Property Management System Users, Campus Unit Financial Leads

As shared earlier this month, Procurement Services is working with ITS to launch an upgraded Surplus Property Management System.  The August 5 planned upgrade will modernize the customer experience and includes the following enhancements:

  • Use any internet browser
  • Use any mobile device with an internet browser
  • Easily determine the status of a surplus property disposal request
  • Directly access issue-specific help videos from any SPMS screen
  • Use a mobile phone to attach photos of inventory and scan asset tags and serial numbers into the surplus property disposal request

A new training manual for SPMS has been developed and will be available when the new system launches on August 5.  You will also have access to help videos within the system.
