In order to accommodate a ConnectCarolina system update on the weekend of April 22-23, the deadlines for the April 2023 monthly payroll (M10) are moving forward two business days.
Your tax year 2022 Form W-2 is now available in the ConnectCarolina Self Service menu. Due to the upcoming holidays, November and December payrolls are compressed. Please be aware of shorter turnaround times. Additionally, be aware all 2022 overpayments must be received prior to Nov. 30, 2022 for application to the current tax year.
Effective Monday Oct. 17, the Accounts Payable, Travel Services and Payment Card offices are returning to Suite 3500 on the third floor of the Administrative Office Building. The Administrative Office Building is located at 104 Airport Dr.
To notify Payroll of an out-of-state employee, please submit the form “Notice of Employee Working Outside of North Carolina” to MultistateTax@unc.edu and one of our Tax Team members will process the information. The best time to submit this form is before an employee has been paid for work out of state. However, all cases should be reported as soon as they are identified to best comply with various state requirements.
Beginning May 6, ConnectCarolina will now include an enhanced functionality feature that allows employees to view or print multiple paystubs at the same time.
The employer retirement contribution rates have been communicated to us by the North Carolina Teachers and State Retirement System (TSERS). Effective Jan. 1, 2022, the TSERS employer contribution rate increased from 21.86% to 24.10% and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) employer disability and retiree health contribution rate decreased from 6.77% to 5.99%.
