NEW! November Month-End Close: Central offices have officially closed for the month of November. This includes the transmission and reconciliation of all November transactions, and state approval to close the month.
REMINDER! December Month-End Close Deadline: Validated campus journal entries and data collect batches (journal imports) should be received by Accounting Services by close of business (5 p.m.) on Wednesday, December 23. Please remember that accounting will not receive the journal entries until the journal has been budget checked valid and has passed through all required approvals (including OSR, if necessary).

NEW! Support for ConnectCarolina, InfoPorte, and University Services Over the Holidays:
If you need to work while the University is closed and encounter an issue, you can submit a help ticket by calling 919-962-HELP or through help.unc.edu. From Dec. 24 through Jan. 3, the ConnectCarolina team will review critical tickets and respond only if the ticket cannot wait until after the break. The team will respond to routine tickets after the holidays.
NEW! Airgas and Arc3 Holiday Hours: Both businesses will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25, as well as New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. They will return to regular schedules after the New Year. Airgas will be delivering dry ice on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 and Monday, Jan. 4. 2021 during the holiday break. If you need extra, please email Rasha.firstname.lastname@example.org and advise her to update your deliveries on those days. See the Dec. 16 memo for contact details.
REMINDER! P-Card Restrictions on Gift Cards and Gift Certificates: A reminder during holiday season that Gift Certificates and Gift Cards are restricted from purchase on the P-Card per 1252.2 – Procedure on Using a Purchasing Card.
REMINDER! Prepaid Gift Cards: Researchers who need to purchase gift cards for study subjects should use the prepaid card program offered by Cash Management in the department of finance. See their webpage for more details.

ConnectCarolina Classes Scheduled January – June 2021: The Continuous Improvement, Staff Development and Engagement (CISDE) Team continues to offer the Finance ConnectCarolina classes through Online Zoom Sessions.
