REMINDER! January Month-End Close Deadline: Validated campus journal entries and data collect batches (journal imports) should be received by Accounting Services by close of business (5 p.m.) Thursday, January 31.  February Month-End close deadline will be Thursday, February 28. Please remember that accounting will not receive the journal entries until the journal has been budget checked valid and has passed through all required approvals (including OSR, if necessary).

NEW! Chartfield Changes: To facilitate appropriate recording of third-party reimbursement transactions, account descriptions of the following GL accounts have been changed:

  1. Account 441610: Account description has been changed from “Reimbursement” to “Professional Service Reimbursements”
  2. Account 441813: Account description has been changed from “Sales-Card Usage” to “Third Party Reimbursements”

NEW! Daily P-Card Transaction GL posting begins February 1.  Users will be able to view posted P-Card transactions daily in General Ledger and InfoPorte starting February 2. The February 1 journal will contain all January charges that were signed off within Works between January 16 and January 31.

REMINDER! Combine Your Personal Outlook Calendar with the Payroll Deadline Calendar. You can pull the payroll deadline calendar into your Outlook calendar and view it side-by-side.  If a deadline changes, it is automatically updated on your calendar. Find step-by-step instructions.

Users should utilize the Business Systems Help Desk when they are unsure who to contact for issue resolution. This is the fastest way to obtain assistance and allows the project team to be able to track issues to determine the scale of the impact to all users. Users can reach the Business Systems Help Desk at 919-962-HELP or via a remedy ticket submitted online at help.unc.edu (select ConnectCarolina > ConnectCarolina Finance > the appropriate area of concern).
