NEW!  October Month-End Close:  Central offices have officially closed for the month of October.  This includes the transmission and reconciliation of all October transactions, and state approval to close the month.

REMINDER! Month-End Close Deadlines: Validated campus journal entries and data collect batches (journal imports) should be received by Accounting Services by close of business (5 p.m.) on Thursday, November 30. Please remember that accounting will not receive the journal entries until the journal has been budget checked valid and has passed through all required approvals (including OSR, if necessary).

NEW! InfoPorte Release Tonight (11/16)—Speed Improved on the Transactions Tab: Many people across campus rely on the Transactions Report, but performance has been less than optimal when running reports that display a lot of information. A number of changes have been made to the report to make it run more quickly. In some cases, the changes mean extra clicks to get all the information but we think the extra speed will make the clicks worthwhile. Read the details about this change and others in the InfoPorte 7.1 Release Notes. To implement the changes, there will be an InfoPorte outage on Thursday, November 16 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

NEW! December Payroll Deadlines: The School/Division and Central Office deadlines for M06 and B12 have been added to the 2017 Payroll Schedules and the Outlook HR/Payroll Deadlines calendar ( The 2018 payroll schedules are now available on Payroll’s website and the dates have been added to the Outlook HR/Payroll Deadlines calendar.

When updates are made to Payroll Schedules, Finance will include a notice on their home page under Policy, Procedure, and Form Update News on the bottom right:

NEW! NEW OHR Webpage Has Launched: The Office of Human Resources is excited to share that their new website launched on November 15.  The layout is designed for navigability and ease of use.

REMINDER! Changing Links: The links that take you to Web applications like Customer Billing Management (CBM) and Bill Presentation are changing. If you access these applications through ConnectCarolina, you won’t notice a change. If you’ve bookmarked these systems outside of ConnectCarolina, though, you will need to delete your bookmarks and recreate them. Read this article for details on why the links are changing and which applications are affected.

This is the fastest way to obtain assistance and allows the project team to be able to track issues to determine the scale of the impact to all users.
