I’m pleased to welcome a new addition to the Strategic Sourcing and Payment Services team. Effective Monday, Oct. 30, Travis Henderson will become Director of Procurement Services. In this role, Travis will work to drive world-class procurement processes and enhance the customer experience within all UNC-Chapel Hill procurement functions.
Travis will be responsible for purchasing, asset management, strategic supply, and disbursements. He will be charged with updating our processes to better align with ConnectCarolina (PeopleSoft) as the institution’s strategic platform, driving customer engagement, and increasing efficiency throughout the procurement units. Travis worked with IBM and Lenovo for 20 years in a myriad of supply chain positions before deciding to further his career here at UNC-Chapel Hill. Travis holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
