I am pleased to announce that Brett Kenney joined Accounting Services team as the cash manager effective Monday, August 7. Brett has served as a local government executive level official for more than twelve years, most recently as a budget and management analyst with Wake County, North Carolina. Brett has served in the United States Marine Corps and earned the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device while leading his Light Armored Reconnaissance Platoon during the Iraq War. Brett has a master’s degree in Public Administration and bachelor’s degree.
As the cash manager, Brett will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring University compliance with the cash management plan of the University. In addition to management of operations, Brett will also focus on core cash management services to identify and help implement process improvements, study the University’s needs regarding banking services periodically and will develop a request for proposal for improved banking services, maintain working capital, review and approve the completion of bank account reconciliations and assume an active role in the implementation of prepaid-card program.
