Subject: TIM Upgrade — What You’ll Notice
The upgrade to the University’s TIM (Time Information Management) system is complete. The TIM outage is over. The upgraded version of TIM available today will provide better navigation. TeleTime was upgraded along with TIM.
Access and Actions
You can log into TIM using either access method:
- directly by opening a web browser and typing http://unctim.unc.edu in the address bar, or
- via the Self Service menu on the ConnectCarolina home page, https://connectcarolina.unc.edu/.
You will automatically be routed to the upgraded version of TIM. The actions that you’ve done in TIM in the past remains the same.
After logging in for the first time to the upgraded version of TIM, you may be prompted to download the Adobe Flash Player. If you are unable to download the software, contact your department’s IT support staff or the Help Desk at 919-962-HELP (4357).

Mandatory TIM Upgrade Training for Employees & Managers
Employees and Managers: If you have not yet completed mandatory TIM training, computer-based training (CBT) and manuals are available from the TIM website.
TIM Administrators: If you have not yet completed mandatory TIM training, you are required to attend classroom training. An announcement with a link to register for a future class will be emailed to TIM Administrators directly.
Employees who use TeleTime can access the new TeleTime manual at the TIM website linked above.
