I am pleased to announce that Beau Jimmerson will be joining our team on June 6, 2016, as Executive Director for Strategic Sourcing and Payment Services. Beau has sixteen years of experience in supply-chain strategy and leadership, project management, and process improvement – most recently with Lenovo Ltd. in Raleigh. He received his MBA from the Jenkins Graduate School of Management at NCSU and his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
As Executive Director, Beau will report to me and will be charged with designing and implementing a university-wide data driven strategic sourcing operation. Beau brings a wealth of experience to help us succeed in this mission, having implemented a global strategy for cost management, developed a new IT system for analyzing spend aggregation, and redesigned an IT integration with P-Card, invoice, vendor management, and contracts at Lenovo.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the search committee, which included Martina Ballen, Chandrika Rao, Brian Simet, Laura Yurco, Susan Kellogg, Dave Stevens, Will Tricomi, and Elizabeth Josephs.
