I’m happy to announce two new additions to the Division of Finance and Administration team.

Brad Ives started May 4 as our new Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Campus Enterprises. As the AVC for Campus Enterprises, Brad will provide oversight for the University’s Auxiliary Services, Energy Services, Transportation and Parking, Student Stores and Trademarks and Licensing. This encompasses a $175 million budget with a team of approximately 650 University employees and 450 contracted employees.

Brad most recently served as Assistant Secretary for Natural Resources with the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources. He also has extensive experience and interest in renewable energy, as managing partner of Davidson River Capital, chief executive officer for Integro Earth Fuels, and founder and chief executive officer of Illumination Renewables, LLC. In addition to his environmental experience Brad also has a finance and legal background — as managing director of Babson Capital Management, LLC, and founder of a special finance legal practice in Charlotte in the 1990s.

Tricia Hennessey started May 11 as the new Executive Director for Continuous Improvement and Business Intelligence. In this role, Tricia will oversee a newly-created group within Finance and Administration that will improve business processes and transform the University’s use of business data to drive strategic decision making. Tricia will lead the University’s business intelligence, business analysis, business process improvement and finance training operations. She has been at UNC School of Law since 2007, where she served as the Associate Dean for Finance & Information Technology and Assistant Dean for Finance. She previously was Associate Controller with St. John’s University.

Please join me in welcoming them to the Division of Finance and Administration.
