I am happy to announce that Meera Phaltankar has joined Accounting Services as the Commitment Accounting Administrator, effective December 15th. The primary purpose of this position is to administer the Commitment Accounting functions of the University’s ConnectCarolina HR/Payroll and Finance systems, and to monitor and manage the employee funding processes that bridge HR/Payroll with the Finance system’s general ledger.
Meera is a CPA, CMA certified and a project management professional with over 15 years of experience. Her specialization is in the full lifecycle of ERP implementation. She has worked in PeopleSoft and other ERP financial system implementations and system upgrades. Her experience includes setting up budget roll up codes, position control for salary budgets, budget set up for capital projects, training and coaching, preparing ad hoc reports, and integration of sub modules to financial systems.
