Below are some dates related to TIM and the upcoming ConnectCarolina HR/Payroll implementation for your review.
Last Date HRIS & EPAWeb Data Sent to TIM – 3 p.m. Sept. 5
The last import from HRIS and EPAWeb into TIM will happen on Friday, Sept. 5. This is being done in order for TIM to reflect the new ConnectCarolina data for Biweekly 06.
Please note that this does not change any previously communicated cutover dates. HR Facilitators may continue to use HRIS and EPAWeb until the HR cutoff date on Sept. 17. It is just that HR data entered after 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 through Sept. 17 will not be imported into TIM until Biweekly 07.
Therefore, it is recommended that HR actions for SPA Non-Exempt, Temporary, or Student employees such as, new hires, promotions, position changes, etc. that will be effective in Biweekly 06 are entered in HRIS by 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5.
Entries made in HRIS and EPAWeb after the Sept. 5 deadline will be imported into TIM in Biweekly 07. Historical edits for hours worked in Biweekly 06 will need to be entered at that time for payment in the Biweekly 07 paycheck on 10/17/14.
Biweekly 06 Sign Off – midnight on Sept. 22
Biweekly 06 (09/08/14 – 09/21/14) will be signed off in TIM at midnight on Monday, Sept. 22. This is being done in order for TIM to reflect the new ConnectCarolina data for Biweekly 06.
Please move up your employee and manager approval deadlines for Biweekly 06 and make all needed timecard edits prior to the sign off deadline.
Departments that have a large number of weekend workers may email timsupport@unc.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, to request a sign-off extension. Please write ‘Sign Off Extension’ in the subject line and provide the department number(s) that have a large number of weekend workers. Timecards in the requested department(s) will be reviewed for weekend hours prior to granting an extension.
Accrual Leave Payouts
Sept. 12 – The last day to process accrual leave payouts in HRIS for Biweekly 05 (pay day 09/19/14) is Sept. 12.
Sept. 13 – Leave payouts for Biweekly 06 (pay day 10/3/14) and going forward will be processed using TIM starting on Sept. 13. Detailed instructions will be sent to TIM Administrators.
Sept. 18 – Leave payouts for Monthly employees will be processed using TIM starting on Sept. 18. Detailed instructions will be sent to TIM Administrators.
TIM Downtime
Sept. 23 – We expect that TIM will have an outage on Sept. 23. The exact time period is still to be determined and will be communicated to TIM Administrators.
