REMINDER: Departments will continue to incur charges for insurance for graduate students not removed from Graduate Student Health Insurance (GSHIP). Please pass this information to the appropriate personnel in your area ensure these actions are completed.
Graduate students who will be graduating at the end of Spring Semester 2011 in May must be removed from the Graduate Student Health Insurance Program effective June 14, 2011. To do this, go to the “Graduate Student Health Insurance Enrollment and Change Form” in the Payroll Menu in FRS. Place a “*G*” in the “Delete Code” field and “*06/14/11*” in the “Removed” field.
- Because of the programming, this information must be entered between May 14-June 3, 2011.
Once a student has graduated, they are no longer eligible for Graduate Student Health Insurance. Students who graduate in May are covered by the graduate insurance until June 14, 2011. Hill, Chesson, & Woody will notify each student by letter informing them of this and will give them the opportunity to extend the insurance coverage from their personal funds.
