The Finance Division is pleased to announce that Account Requests for Conferences and Account Requests for Non-OSR Contracts and Grants can now be submitted using the online Account Request system.
The Account Request for Conferences is designed for University departments to receive conference registration fees from University faculty, staff, students, and off-campus individuals. The conferences should not be offering educational credits for attendance. Conferences offering educational credits should follow continuing education procedures within the School.
Requesting accounts for University departments Non-OSR Contract & Grants should now be requested via the UNC Accounts Request System. Receipt of these funds should be pursuant to grants from, or contracts with: the Federal Government, another institution of higher learning, another North Carolina State Agency, or another entity which is funding the agreement suing federal funds.
The Account Request system is accessed through Finance Central. A link to Finance Central is found on the Finance web page located at https://finance.unc.edu/ . There is a brief computer-based training and online manual located on the Training web page. All users should review the manual and take the training prior to submitting an account request.
