ConnectCarolina is Carolina’s version of PeopleSoft, which provides the University and UNC System Office with an integrated system that supports effective business processes for Student Administration, Finance, Human Resources and Payroll. The University’s financial transactions take place through this portal.
ccinfo.unc.edu is a training and information website from the ConnectCarolina Communications and Change Management team which provides updates and details for using ConnectCarolina/Infoporte. The department of Finance and Budget coordinates with the ConnectCarolina team when adopting new resources and technologies and in maintaining business processes.
Continuous Improvement, Staff Development and Engagement (CISDE) trains campus staff on how to use ConnectCarolina, provides compliance and jobs skills training and offers consultant and development services for all Finance and Budget system users.
The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) partners with the research community to support and advance the University’s research mission by providing leadership and expertise in research administration. Among their many services, OSR works with the department of Finance and Budget on grants and awards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including award negotiation and management, financial reporting and cash management, cost analysis and research service center rate development.
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) works with Finance and Budget on payroll, staff benefits, as well as retirement and financial planning for employees.
