I am writing to let you know that Elizabeth C. (Betsi) Snipes has announced her retirement as director of payroll services effective May 2015. Her dedication to the University through many years and challenges is quite extraordinary in this day and time. The role of her department and her staff has been all the more critical during system implementations over the past decade, and we thank her for her leadership during those times and throughout her tenure. Her retirement is truly well-deserved.
Betsi celebrated 45 years at Carolina in 2014, and has spent all of her tenure in Payroll Services.
We will share more information on transition plans as her departure nears. Please join me in thanking Betsi for her service and congratulating her on her pending retirement.
