As we continue to move toward data-driven operations, Finance and Accounting is changing how we approach internal controls organizationally. Effective immediately, Internal Controls Accountant Rod Smith will be reassigned to Financial Reporting and Management Services, which reports up to Aimee Turner, University Controller. In his new role, Rod will be responsible for internal controls reporting.
Internal Controls Director Stan Koziol will be reassigned to Strategic Sourcing and Payment Services, reporting to Director Beau Jimmerson to serve in a compliance role for the broader procure-to-pay organizations.
As Controller, Aimee Turner will be the Internal Controls Officer for the University.
In closing, I would like to thank both Stan and Rod for their many contributions to internal controls in their current roles and their ongoing contributions to internal controls and compliance in their new roles.
