Subject: Two TIM Features Not Active at Go Live, 10/24

Delegate Authority

 The delegate authority feature in TIM used by managers will not be accessible when the upgraded TIM goes live on Monday, October 24.  The vendor is currently working to fix this, and it will be included in a future update.  Please notify the managers in your department of this change.

Managers sometimes delegate authority to another manager in TIM on a short-term basis, so the other manager can view and process their employees in TIM.

Action to take now– if needed, managers may submit and accept delegations of authority to another active manager for up to 90 days in TIM until the upgrade outage begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21.

After the upgrade goes live– if needed, the employees’ TIM Approver field in ConnectCarolina may be changed, so another manager can see those employees in TIM during a manager’s absence or the TIM Administrator may be asked for assistance.  TIM Administrators see all of the employees in their departments in TIM.

Ad Hoc Hyperfinds

The ability to create new or edit current ‘ad hoc’ hyperfinds will not be available when the upgraded TIM goes live on Monday, October 24.  The vendor is currently working to fix this, and it will be included in a future update.  However, all hyperfinds you have saved as personal hyperfinds will appear in the upgraded system when we go live.

If you do not currently use ad hoc hyperfinds in TIM, you do not need to take any action!

If you use ad hoc hyperfinds- You may create new or update your saved personal hyperfinds until the upgrade outage begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21.

After the upgrade goes live– keep a record of ad hoc hyperfinds to be created.  We will let you know when this feature has been added back into TIM.
