| Richard L. Mann - Biography |
Richard L. Mann joined the University of North Carolina as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration in November 2006. Prior to that, he served for ten years as Vice President for Administration at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Mann oversaw financial and administrative operations of the university including the health sciences center and hospital. Prior to joining Stony Brook, Dr. Mann served at the University of Kansas for twenty years, beginning with planning and information technology responsibilities and culminating with his role as University Director of Administration (senior financial and administrative officer). Dr. Mann has also served in managerial positions at the University of Illinois and with the IBM Corporation. Dr. Mann received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Long Island University, a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Administration from Purdue University and a PhD in Higher Education from the University of Illinois. Dr. Mann is a member of NACUBO and EDUCAUSE and has taught graduate courses in planning, information technology and management. |
