The Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Controller provides efficient, effective and professional service to the students, faculty, and staff of the University for appropriate financial functions. We provide diligent efforts and dependable financial services to the campus community through professional expertise, developing practical procedures and processes, promoting efficient systems, maintaining sound financial records, and seeking continuous improvements. We safeguard the University by ensuring adherence to the regulatory and other requirements from the federal, state, and system levels.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Controller is to provide exemplary service and performance in attaining shared goals and objectives for the University community through teamwork, maximization of resources, efficient and effective processes, and technological advances.

Goals

• Maintain a work environment that encourages and rewards innovation, risk-taking, communication and teamwork.
• Continuously improve service processes to make them more efficient, effective, and user friendly.
• Continue sponsorship to complete implementation of the Time Information Management (TIM) System to resolve outstanding internal control issues and to improve efficiency and effectiveness of time and leave management and processing.
• Continue support of implementation of the ERP Student System and to continue preparation for the ERP Human Resources and Payroll System and the ERP Financial System to improve processes for customers in collaboration with ITS and other departments.
