The online payment options hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (eastern).
***If you did not register for Summer Session course by the billing date of 5/7/08, you will need to prepay in order to register for classes. To compute the amount to prepay, find the appropriate rate on our summer rate schedule and apply it to the number of credit hours you intend to take. We do not accept payments by phone, please see our payment options below. All payments must be in U.S. dollars and in any combination of the following:
CashDeliver in person only. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays. Check, Money Order or Cashier's CheckPlease send check by mail or deliver in person. Checks and cashier's checks must be drawn on a U.S. bank. Please note the student's PID on any check, cashier's check or money order. Our address is:
Online Payment from CheckingThis option is available only through studentcentral.unc.edu, Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. To make a payment, click on the "pay your bill" option under the Cashier Services section. There is currently no transaction fee for the use of this online service. Online payments from your checking account must be drawn from a U.S. bank. This method currently allows only students to make online payments from their checking accounts. Wire TransfersFollow the instructions for transferring funds (PDF) to a student account or contact the Head Teller at 919-962-5846. Credit CardONLINE ONLY through studentcentral.unc.edu or cashiers.unc.edu, Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays, with your credit card (MasterCard or Diners Club card only). There is a 2% non-refundable transaction fee for the use of this online service. Students can access their account on studentcentral.unc.edu by using their Onyen and password. To make a payment, click on the "pay your bill' option under the Cashier Services section. Parents and other third parties can make payments through the cashiers web site by using the student's PID (or Social Security Number) and date of birth. We no longer accept VISA for payment because VISA will not allow us to charge a fee to recover the cost. The University has chosen not to assess a new fee to all students to cover the cost for some students to pay with a credit card. We continue to accept MasterCard online, as well as online payment from your checking account. Installment Payment PlanThis option is offered through Tuition Management Systems, Inc. (TMS) for the Fall and Spring terms only. Eligible expenses are tuition, fees, meal plans and on-campus housing. For information about the plans, see our FACT SHEET (PDF). Students expecting financial aid may DEFER payment of tuition prior to the semester due date. If we are aware that the student has applied for financial aid, there will be a message on the bottom of the front of the bill to that effect. If no message is there, the student must send in the deferment form found on the back top portion of the bill by the due date. Financial aid received in excess of cashier's office charges will be refunded to the student. |
