Financial Accounting is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and reporting for Institutional Trust Funds and Special Funds for the campus. Accounts for gifts and bequests, University auxiliary operations, clinics for professional health services, investment income allocations, agency funds including funds of affiliated foundations, contractual agreements, and other purposes are administered in general and subsidiary ledgers. Account attributes to categorize and identify the various activities are maintained. Financial transactions such as journal entries are reviewed and processed, and this unit is responsible for maintaining the FRS prorate tables, which are sets of FRS parameters that generate automated financial transactions.
