Mary Parrish Addresses the State of North Carolina’s Credit Union Division Leadership |
|
January 12, 2008 Mary Parrish, UNC at Chapel Hill's business continuity officer, addressed the State of North Carolina's Credit Union Division leadership on January 11, 2008, at their offices in Raleigh. Mary discussed strategies for the Division's continuity planning for a pandemic crisis, and shared with participants some of the University's challenges and planning. Credit Union Division members asked for home planning guidance as well. Tony Knox, Deputy Administrator for the Division, described Mary's presentation as "very valuable." |

Subject: State Mileage Allowance
Effective January 1, 2008, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has increased the business standard mileage rate from 48.5 cents per mile to 50.5 cents per mile. Pursuant to state statute, the Office of State Budget and Management changed the allowable rate of reimbursement for travel on official business by state employees to be equal to the IRS rate. |
